With the venue recently redeveloped, it has become one of the jewels in South Wales wedding venues‘ crown. Surrounded by lush woodland and a lake featuring a stunning wooded jetty. The venue is completely exclusive and private allowing you to host your wedding celebrations in total peace. With the recently refurbished court yard area just off the main reception hall, it’s an ideal space for cocktails and lots of mingling!
Hensol Castle is even more picturesque than you can imagine. A perfect backdrop and setting which will create the most epic and magical album to remember for many years.
My approach on a wedding day is to encapsulate this beauty that the venue has to offer and create a wedding gallery that leaves every jaw drop. I’ll be there to document your day, all day. No posing and no cheesiness… Just pure natural, relaxed and great fun celebrating the best days of your lives.
Hensol Castle is thought to date back to around 1419. From the castles early days to now, it has seen many different owners, who have each altered, improved and added their own stamp and individual designs. With work still discreetly and carefully always going ahead over the years, the castle really is going through a remarkable transformation.
Since being bought in 2015 by Gerald Leeke, who also owns the parent company The Vale Resort; It has seen a multi million pound investment to reinvent the castle into a wedding and events venue. Taking in the full character and magnificent architecture, you’ll also be able to walk around the landscaped lawns and the large lake surrounding the Castle.
To top it off, the venue is now branching out into having their own gin – The Hensol Castle Distillery open to tours, tastings and experience sessions. Hensol Castle is a fantastic wedding venue and it should not fall short of your shortlist! Who doesn’t want to get married at a Castle?
