Dewsall Court a sustainable wedding venue nestled within the idyllic Herefordshire countryside, was the setting for April & Alex’s wedding in the Spring. It was touch and go with the weather, however it did us proud and the day was beautiful throughout! Wahoo!

From the off, they were keen to have such a relaxed and chilled day with their friends and family, it was certainly that, April was also well ahead of time too. The morning prep held upstairs within the bridal suite, the dress hung against the door, my first sight as I arrived, framed perfectly. Bubbles pouring and the make-up artist, Ruth doing her thing along with Kelly the hair stylist too. Such a beautiful start to the day.

As the weather wasn’t so great a few days before, the couple conceded to an indoor ceremony in the absolutely superb Wainhouse. Incredibly styled and dressed with endless flowers by Dorothy Seed, I couldn’t stop looking, what a setting for their ceremony especially surrounding the lawn and rustic architecture.

One refreshing highlight of the day was that Alex, the groom, decided to address everyone with his speech after being thrown confetti at and shortly after group photos. A formal greeting if you wish, it was a really nice touch and I’d love to see it more going forward. It also helped Alex not to feel so nervous just before the wedding breakfast too. Wedding cake and canapés followed, a perfect combo during the reception!

They had their evening reception within the area of the treehouse, cocktails and chatter. Later followed by the large firepit and packed dancefloor thanks to DJ Max Galactic! Tunes all night.
