Thoresby Hall wedding venue was the perfect setting for Hollie & Steves wedding! Although there was a little rain forecast overall it was beautiful! I joined Hollie and her excited bridesmaids in the Best Western hotel where they were already getting stuck in having their hair and make-up done. The bride, Hollie finalising her speech and wedding cards to read out during their reception. Bridesmaids looking over their album of images since the couple first met and overall enjoying the build up ahead of ‘The Broom’ wedding.
St John’s Church hosted the ceremony. It’s pristine stone, cathedral like ceremony hall and artistically stained glass windows. There was plenty of character and a comunity spirit in full attendace. The grand doors opened and welcomed in was the bridesmaids following Hollie and her father to the sounds of the opening music to Beauty & The Beast movie.
Following the ceremony we walked the 20 minutes from the church through Thoresby Courtyard. Walking by it’s vast open fields, stopping off on the way for their portraits together as a married couple. Arriving at the courtyard where their guests awaited sipping on prosecco and nibbling on canapes. The days events continued with group photos and more cheery vibes from their guests during the reception as the speeches were read out.
The day came to a close with the first dance playing out, followed by a magnificent display of fireworks on the lawn and a sparkler send off to end the night! Beautiful wedding full of awesome people and I felt very privilaged to be part of this wedding. After getting to know Hollie & Steve during their pre-wedding photo shoot a few weeks earlier it’s all a little sad it’s now all over.
