Honest Moments of 2025 – How the year looked.
2025 wasn’t loud. It was clarifying. Less noise. Fewer distractions. More intention. This year stripped things back — creatively, personally, professionally — and forced some honesty about what ...
Weddings in the Cotswolds have their own rhythm, and that’s what I photograph. The real moments, the in-betweens, the nerves, the laughter and the dance floor chaos that actually tells the story of the day all from the
I take a relaxed, documentary approach to Cotswolds wedding photography. No awkward posing, no forced smiles. Just honest coverage that reflects how it genuinely felt to be there just as you as you have a great time just being you.
For most of your day, I’m there to photograph your day naturally and unobtrusively, creating images that feel timeless, effortless and true to you without chasing a short lived trend.
I’ve created this page to share with you some of the recent wedding photography & Videography in the Cotswolds that I have captured.

“Lewis came highly recommended to us and not only are the photos beyond anything we dreamed of, but he is also such a genuinely nice person. So many of our guests approached us to say how great he was. He felt more like a guest than a supplier! Even our dog liked him! The attention to detail was phenomenal and nothing was too much of an ask.”

The Cotswolds brings the scenery. You bring the story. I’m here to make sure the photos feel like both. From the first call I learn your priorities, shape a timeline that leaves room to breathe and keep the day easy. Advice when needed, zero fuss when not.
I get to know your people and what matters. Your photographer is with you more than anyone on the day, so you should feel relaxed and yourself. I stay close to the action, light on direction, heavy on observation, so the pictures look as good as it felt.

I am also familiar with other local venues including the beautifully restored and renovated Barn at Upcote, and the 18th century Lapstone Barn which is exclusively yours during your entire wedding day. I’m also looking forward to more weddings at Shustoke Barn in the Summer
The Great Tythe Barn nestled in The Cotswolds is also an incredible wedding venue with many period and authentic features.Have you also thought about your wedding photography at the Kingscote Barn, which is an award winning venue in it’s own valley with rolling hills creating a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding photography.
In my opinion, you’re spoilt for choice with outstanding venues here, no matter which venue you’ve decided to set your hearts on, I can capture the celebrations to be highest standard for you to relive, as you remember for decades to come.
“It’s all about the celebration on a wedding day… But it’s always nice to fully document your family, guests and friends. No one likes posing but to appease parents it’s nice to capture a few group photos on your wedding day without feeling like you’re forcing a smile. That’s why I limit group photos to a short time, a small handful is enough of your family and that’s it! I like to capture the rest of your guests in my natural candid style throughout the day when everyone is looking their best and in great spirits… Less time posing and certainly more time drinking and celebrating!”
“Portraits aren’t about holding each other like this or duplicating an image like that. It’s about you, your feelings and your emotion on your wedding day. Taking up to 30 minutes, your portraits will be natural, relaxed and an opportunity for you to stroll to a quiet spot where you’ll have full reign to be yourselves and get excited together, it’s about documenting just those moments.”
Lewis

“Our wedding photos are incredible, we absolutely love them, capturing photos we never would have imagined. We couldn’t have wished for a better photographer and any couple who has Lewis to capture their special day will be extremely lucky.”

The amount you spend on a wedding photographer in the cotswolds can vary widely, it depends on many factors such as experience, level of service you require for your wedding day, the type of coverage you’d prefer and how long you’d like them there with you.
You can expect to pay between £2000 to £4000 for a good pro wedding photographer. This usually includes experienced coverage to be with you at your wedding for 10-12 hours. It’s also worth noting that additional costs might include travel, accommodation and physical photo album orders.
It’s important to remember that your photographer in the Cotswolds is an important investment. You should maximise your budget in this area. They will be responsible for capturing the essence and energy of your wedding, they will photograph the details and special moments through your day. In time to come, when your memory fades, your wedding photography will be the only main representation of your wedding to look back on, memories should not be compromised.
Most photographers cap coverage at around 10 hours. That usually gets you prep, ceremony, speeches and a bit of the dance floor.
I’m there for the full story, start to finish, including the messy, magic bits after dark and the sparklers chaos (here’s a sparkler guide that may help). No stress about moments being missed. No watching the time. Just one less thing on your plate, and a gallery that actually feels like the day.
Planning a Cotswolds wedding is a lot. My job is to keep it calm.
I check in with you both as things take shape, so you’re never guessing or carrying it alone. From the moment you enquire to long after your gallery lands, I’m there if you want support, perspective, or a steady hand. More than just your photographer.
In the final couple of months, we’ll lock in a timeline that actually works in real life. We’ll fine-tune timings, flag any pressure points, and make sure the day flows naturally — so you can stay present and enjoy it, not manage it.
Every wedding is different. Different people, different light, different energy. Things like ceremony location, season and weather all shape how the day unfolds.
If your venue is somewhere I haven’t photographed before, that’s not an issue. I’ll visit in advance, speak with the coordinators, and arrive earlier on the day so I’m fully dialled in before anything begins.
I’ve photographed weddings for over 11 years and documented more than 430 of them. That experience means I stay calm, adaptable and focused on you. I work with the light I’m given and adjust as the day moves, so nothing feels forced or rushed.
If you want to go a step further, a pre-wedding session at your venue is a great option. It helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera and lets us make the most of the space. This can be added to your package if it feels right.
Most wedding photographers deliver galleries in 4–12 weeks.
I don’t.
I cap my calendar so I can move fast. You’ll get a solid set of previews within a few days, then your full, finished gallery within four weeks of your wedding. Always. No chasing. No vague timelines.
Once that’s done, we roll straight into designing your album while everything still feels fresh, so you’re reliving it properly, not six months later.
Think of image count as a by-product, not the goal. In the UK, a good rule of thumb is around 60 finished images per hour of coverage. So for a 10–12 hour day, you’ll usually receive somewhere in the region of 500–600 images which is perfect!
What matters more than the number is the balance. A well-edited gallery tells the full story of your day without repeating the same moment over and over. Some photographers promise bigger numbers, but that often just means near-identical frames of the same thing. More photos doesn’t equal more memories. Variety, timing and intention do.
First you need to consider which season you’re deciding to get married in. Other things to think about is how many guests you will be hosting, or what type of wedding and look are you thinking of going with. Overall, there are too many variables to answer this outright. However, some of my favourite venues that I’ve recently worked at are:
The best thing you can do is to visit the venue, ask lots of questions and spend time looking around the grounds; This will help you to understand if your vision for your wedding day fits at the venue.
