Rustic Barn Wedding Photography | Suzie & Sam
A joyful wedding celebration of a couple who’s been together since school. Reception drinks on their family wooden barge with the remainder of the day at a local gorgeous barn, quite the unique backdrop to set up for a fantastic party!
I love a little road trip and being asked to come and document Suzie & Sam’s wedding in Essex, I was delighted! A joy to visit new areas of the country and explore a little too, being a wedding photographer South Wales!
Despite everything going to plan, a tiny bit of drama during the morning however, by means of a fire on the high street that blocked all access to the ceremony, thankfully, it cleared in time; nothing was stopping them having the time of their lives! Suzie getting ready down the road and arriving via a vintage Morris Minor and Sam on his family’s barge on the estuary a few steps away from the church they chose to marry in. With the Church full of their guests, poised and awaiting the arrival of the bride, surrounded by beautifully decorations of bright and colourful flowers. Sam patiently awaiting, only a few minutes late…
A lot of emotion throughout the ceremony which was just beautiful to document, Suzie walked down the aisle by in hand by her mum. These moments are hard to express in words and so I’ll allow the photos to do justice. It was simply a perfect display of love and celebration of many years together on full display!
Their reception was held on Sam’s family barge, Hydrogen, a beautiful wooden ship, a stones throw away from the church, the couple led the procession of their entire guests down and onto the barge with plenty of popping of champagne upon arrival! A first for me being on a boat for a wedding – Great fun! Not long after we all headed to a local rustic barn wedding venue to further celebrate their marriage. Tug-o-war, a tractor ride and plenty of lawn games to entertain everyone! With the weather being so perfect, it was ideal for everyone to mingle on the well-kept lawn and wild garden areas, beautiful!
Onto the evening, Broadway Band (who were superb by the way) kept everyone on the dancefloor, honestly, the most filled dancefloor for the longest that I’ve ever seen! These lads knew how to entertain! I even stayed much longer than I’d anticipated simply as I was enjoying their music! It can make such a difference, having great music! As the evening come to a close, s’mores were had around the bonfire put on to keep everyone cosy. A perfect way to end a day of celebrations and wedding joy!
