Luxury wedding at St Tewdrics House | Emily & Craig

The couple got married and had their wedding photography in the Summer at one of Wales’ finest and luxury wedding venues – St Tewdrics House. Room decorations filled with pampas grass. A wedding that was all tux and lux!

This luxury wedding started out at Emily’s parents home in Caerphilly; a relaxed and fun morning, the heat building along with the excitement for the day ahead. Kindly shared was a selection of treats and pastries and endless tea; Perfect! The bride had laid out her gorgeous wedding dress from Perfect Day Bridal and feathered shoes from Jimmy Choo in preparation, along with a few personal touches too.

Ceremony held at early afternoon in the hall at St Tewdrics, featuring the most amazing pampas grass ceiling piece, and further decoration around the room. Lots of emotion from the family including the groomsmen who had a few tears to shed.

With the wedding being hosted during the summer, it was a perfect opportunity to enjoy the lawn and courtyard of the venue. Including a fantastic live session with John Adams Band who are a must for authentic and beautiful soundtracks to a wedding day. We got the time to slip off for wedding photography at St Tewdrics of couple in the growing wild field which has become something of a feature lately. A perfect backdrop while the couple get time to enjoy their time together and relax as a newly married couple.

The evening celebrations

For the speeches and sit down reception, the room was decorated to impress, again, more pampas grass, luxury details and gorgeous decoration on the tables thanks to The Luxe Touch‘s work. Speeches all beautiful and well received by their guests with lots of very touching and amusing stories, particularly about the grooms thumbs…

Of course, the first dance and party was not to be missed, the energy high and the dance floor busy! Always great to photograph lots of people on the dance floor together, this is also down to having a great band or DJ. Thankfully, the rain came in time for when sunset had passed and everyone was inside. The rain storm created an incredible sunset behind the venue moments before the first dance. I had to rush out to photograph it. The night ended with pizza by the lads at Ffwrness Pizza and a send-off gesture of sparklers in front of the grand entrance. That’s the way to end the night!

I absolutely loved photographing this wedding at St Tewdrics House and I’m looking forward to photographing there more over the coming years.
