Llanerch Vineyard Wedding Photography | Danielle & Daniel
Llanerch Vineyard wedding venue, just outside Cardiff is an absolute gorgeous location, especially for wedding photography in Autumn. This wedding features stunning floral decorations throughout the ceremony & reception. Tons of celebrations and one heck of a party with a ‘stage dive’ from the bride!
Llanerch Vineyard is a fairly local venue to me being only 10 minutes away. It can be easily missed, nestled away in the lanes of Hensol and a short drive from Cardiff. Overlooking a blanket of green Welsh countryside, you could easily be transported away in your mind to somewhere else. It’s also the perfect setting for Danielle & Daniel’s autumn wedding.
They got married in March of last year and quickly booked the venue and band – Great start! Setting the vibes already. With Danielle having moved to Ireland to live with Daniel, they booked me based on recommendations, reviews and social media presence. Although I suggest to meet almost half of my bookings are made this way with a ‘coffee catch-up’ a few weeks later.
Both the Bride and Groom were getting ready at the venue. Danielle in the Bridal suite upstairs along with her bridesmaids and flower girls. Hair and Make-up both mid flow as I arrived and the Prosecco was already pouring, always a great start.
The weather was forecast to be pretty poor all day but I was adamant we could be a little fortunate, thankfully with high winds we were able to get out within the pockets of sunshine and dodge the rain at the right times – Winning! With Daniel the groom getting ready across the way in the onsite apartments it was easy to jump between both preparations through the morning.
The wedding at Llanerch
The ceremony room overlooks the rows and rows of vines, such a great backdrop to set the scene for vow exchanges, with the bi-folding doors it practically feels like the ceremony is outdoors.
With the arrival of the bridesmaids and now Danielle and her brother as he walked her down the aisle, the ceremony was about to begin. With the moody clouds in the sky, with some act of god, a small beam of light shined down on them the moment they were married, putting full focus on them and their commitment to each other. I quite like when acts of nature, if it were play their part in some funny way.
The Wedding Reception
We got a break in the weather and in good time, and Danielle & Daniel, newly married, exited to their guests throwing confetti like it were a sport! We were able to head out onto the courtyard and everyone got to celebrate taking in the views and eat the delicious canapés (I can’t deny I didn’t try one or two), that’s one great bonus of weddings, the food.
While the weather was still holding off, we headed into the vineyards for 15 minutes of portraits (Really, that’s all you ever need, any more and it’s almost a photo shoot and guests start to wonder where you’ve gone). Keeping it relaxed as always, it was a moment for them to spend along for a moment after the anticipation of and the build up in the morning and throughout the ceremony. You can see these awesome moments below.
The rest of the reception was filled with lots of great candid moments, a few family group photos (but only a few), and the anticipated speeches. For some it was a little emotional, as family past and present are remembered and celebrated and then, there’s the best mans speech. Starting things with a classic rendition of Righteous Brothers – You’ve lost the loving feeling which went down well… I think, haha! It certainly was great to document.
Evening Reception and Partttyyyyy!
Cutting of the cake officially marks the start of the evening reception and one heck of a first dance. Llanerch Vineyard unveils the couple to guests by way of lifting the curtain to the start of the first dance song. Setting the mood for the rest of the dance floor vibes and THAT stage dive from Danielle the bride.
