My approach

Fewer people. Nothing to hide behind.

I’m Lewis, a documentary wedding photographer and filmmaker. Small weddings are some of my favourite days. Twelve people in a town hall, a long lunch afterwards and a walk through the streets. Everyone hears every word.

I photograph it exactly as I would a full day: quietly, closely and without directing anyone more than I need to. You get the same care and the same edit, for the hours you need.

By the hour from £250 · Half day £1,500 · Full day from £2,600.

Good to know

Questions about micro weddings.

What counts as a micro wedding?

Usually fewer than 30 guests and a shorter day: a town hall or register office ceremony, lunch or dinner somewhere you love, and a walk for a few photographs. If it feels small to you, it counts.

Can we book you for just two hours?

Yes. Coverage by the hour is £250, with a two-hour minimum, which suits a town hall ceremony and a few portraits outside.

Can we book a shorter day on a Saturday?

Saturdays are kept for full days, but they open up for shorter coverage within five months of the date if I’m still free.

Which town halls and register offices do you cover?

Anywhere across the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Bath, Berkshire, South Wales and London. Many couples choose Old Marylebone, Chelsea Old Town Hall or Bath Guildhall, but your local register office is just as welcome.

Is the experience different from a full day?

No. The same planning call, the same care on the day, the same previews and the same online gallery. The day is shorter, that’s all.

Can we add film?

Yes. I can film a shorter day too, so you have the vows and the speeches as well as the photographs.
