Spring wedding at woodland venue in Cardiff | Jess & Chris
Jess & Chris had their Pencoed house wedding in April. As the Summer begins, the smell of freshly cut grass in the air and the birds tweeting in the woodland… What a way to really kick off the 2019 wedding season!
Super excited to be sharing this wedding, Jess & Chris have been such lovely couple to connect with and to photograph their wedding at Pencoed House was the epitome of it all.
I arrived at the venue a little early than usual to check out the venue a little more, I caught up with Jamie the owner who was cutting the lawn in preparation for the day. I strolled into the woodland with time to spare and it was just super nice to chill out in the woodland area with no distraction for a few minutes, Pencoed House, a stone barn has some real hidden areas that are worth the effort of finding.
Found Jess and her mum upstairs in the Coach House at the venue. Seeing to her dress which looked incredible. I often have a guess as to what sort of dress the bride may have with myself our course, this time I was right on. A sleek, sequinned dress with a short veil which you can see a little further down…
Pencoed House Wedding Photographers
The ceremony was serenaded by the sound of a violin played by Jane as she welcomed in Jess and her dad Paul. There was a little hick-up where the lights completely shut down but it was fine and they got on with it (didn’t affect me which was ace as it’s very dark in the hall).
With the group photos out of the way it was canapés, prosecco and beers in a barrow on the lawn in the sunshine with the addition of lawn games too. The rest of the day of course, included tons of celebrating an awesome magic performance by Daniel Bryan and their first dance which had all the moves…
