Sorrento wedding | Natalie & James | Destination wedding in Italy
Natalie & James had their Sorrento wedding in September. Sorrento is a beautiful coastal fishing town. Overlooked by steep mountains coated by vast olive tree groves on a small western peninsular of Italy. The town sitting on cliffs overlooking North to the Tyrrhenian Sea, shadowed by the figure of Vesuvius in the distance.
Their Sorrento wedding was set over three different locations around the peninsular. Joining Natalie and her bridesmaids in the mountains, with vast views north from the bridal suite at Hotel Prestige. It wasn’t long before 2 hours had passed and we were en route to the ceremony setting. It’s times like these I had to pinch myself that I was photographing a wedding abroad in an absolutely stunning setting.
The ceremony, WOW, my jaw dropped. Overlooking the coast and perched on the high sandstone cliffs, the gardens of Il Pizzo was the setting for their wedding. Lightly decorated in pastel and floral to the sound of 2 local musicians strumming softly. The whispering and gentle sea breeze blowing gently, the birds singing their song as Natalie the bride, led by her brother, was revealed from under the vines of the grapes grown around the venue. The moment arrived, Natalie & James exchanged their vows.

The reception hosted at the fantastic and breathtaking Relais Blu. Situated in the western mountains overlooking the beauty spot Island of Capri. An uninterrupted view, a clear blue oasis broken only by the island and small boats sailing across. The wedding meal and speeches set to an incredible backdrop. As the sun set on the horizon. The guests & bridal party sat on the balcony with front row seats of such beauty! Shortly after the sunset. We were all bussed to the final location that was Castore for the after party! Where the couple could finally relax and really enjoy the rest of the night!
