Wales wedding photographer of the year – ’25 & ’26

Winning TWIA Wales Wedding Photographer of the Year for the second year in a row is… a lot to process in the best way. The 2025 win meant the world, but hearing my name again this year hit differently. I didn’t just repeat last year; I built on it, tightened things, listened harder, refined the service, and focused on what couples consistently valued. That’s why this one feels bigger.

TWIA regional finals are always a mix of nerves, hope, and ‘don’t trip walking to the stage if my name is called’. When they called my name, the first thing that hit wasn’t shock; It was a wave of confirmation that I’m on the right path, and to keep going with the persistence to do better.

I knew how much I’d levelled up since last year; Taking on board what couples valued, refining the way I work with suppliers, and investing in mentoring that pushed me further. That’s why this year’s recognition hit with real weight. That made this year’s recognition feel earned in a deeper way.

A huge part of this award belongs to the couples who let me in; Into their families, their plans, their honest moments and their excitement too: You shape and inspire my work more than you realise. You make this the good kind of exhausting; the type that leaves you buzzing on the drive home and inspired the next morning to edit the images. Working with the very best florists, planners, DJs, caterers, co-ordinator teams, videographers and everyone else who keep wedding days flowing, it’s a pleasure as always.

Behind the scenes, this year wasn’t straightforward. It stretched me, challenged me, and forced me to be more intentional with how I work: clearer communication, smoother timelines, swifter group photos, calmer in the room, and edits that stay true-to-life. I’m proud of how those changes have shaped the experience couples get for the longevity and protection of their day.

One thing I love about TWIA (or The Wedding Industry Awards to use it’s full name) is that it isn’t just a trophy. The process itself pushes you to analyse your business honestly, What’s working, what isn’t, and where you can elevate things further. If you’re a supplier thinking about entering, I highly recommend you do it. Even before awards night, you’ll come away with direction, clarity, and a deeper understanding of your clients’ experience and a whole lot of self-reflection too.

To win Wales again is massive; Personally and professionally. But it’s also fuel. Nationals are next in Liverpool, and I’m excited to stand alongside the other regional winners, supporting in us, and keep learning. Whatever happens next, this back-to-back win is a reminder that growth matters, consistency matters, and listening always pays off.
