Best of 2024 – My Favourite Images
Twenty twenty four… Yeah that was a year I’ll likely never forget for all sorts of reasons… Many personal challenges but lots of terrific achievements that made me proud and humble, knowing I’m on the right path in life!
First of all, thank you to everyone who is kind and supportive and relentlessly engages with my social media posts and ramblings ha! The honest 5* reviews that has been shared and the incredible feedback that has pushed my business so much further than I thought it would – Cheers as always!
With that being said, I’ve loved this year, creatively and as a continued new direction, Hybrid Coverage was another success in 2024; I love being able to think differently and constantly finding new ways of challenging myself by documenting a wedding in both stills and motion formats. Although I meet every couple and have a really good idea of their vision and ideas, I can never quite anticipate how the year and their weddings play out; The random moments with guests, the changing weather and so many moments of laughter and fun! It’s humbling and life-affirming, weddings they are able to teach more about human connection that like anything else. The place where the rawest emotions are visible and documented so candidly. A real privilege to be at the centre of peoples lives and know that my photos will be the ones that may cause a tear to fall, laughter to be shared and “ahh look how young you look there” to be said in decades to come.
Without going into details. This year I went through some things that I never thought I’d experience, or at least at 35 years of age. I’ve seen life differently. Relationships with others revalued and life simply appreciated more. Thankfully I’m at full health now and feel stronger more than ever. But it’s only in times of real need and scares do you understand the purpose of people and the power in which they are able to make differences, for the better. Be kind, acknowledge everyone and pay it forward. Appreciation and kindness is free!
Can I get a hell yeah!?
A few mega highlights of the year. First one, is the conversion of our garage into our new HQ for both myself and Louise (Who also has her own wedding photography business). It took a few weeks, many evenings and weekends filled with DIY, frustrations and achievements. It was signed off officially and it’s now a peaceful and very perfect space for us to edit and be focused while we run our business!
2nd highlight of course it has to be the birth of our 2nd child, and future assistant, Rosie. All was well and she’s been growing faster than we could imagine after a few scares weeks before her birth. She arrived at maybe one of the busiest times of our year to give us an extra challenge but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Finally… An achievement I have worked hard for; ‘Wales wedding photographer of the year’ at The Wedding Industry Awards! The final for the overall UK winner is announced on the 22nd January… If I don’t win, at least I’ll be surrounded by other fantastic photographers who I’ll equally root for and celebrate with! To be part of it and be independently judged and verified by many industry judges feels like a reward in itself. The feedback from all couples will also be incredibly welcomed and I’m looking forward to seeing their thoughts too.

It really gets harder every year. Summarising my year into 0.45% of all images delivered is no mean task. It requires an intense and honest look at yourself and how you saw to capture a particular moment at that time. It’s incredibly difficult needing to find individual images that aren’t too similar to others but tell a story of each moment. I love looking back over images all together and enjoying fantastic moments for many reasons all over again. These are wedding photos in the cotswolds, Wiltshire, even Europe too. I’ve shared them below for you too to look through. Which are your favourite?
