Honest Moments of 2025 – How the year looked.
2025 wasn’t loud. It was clarifying. Less noise. Fewer distractions. More intention. This year stripped things back — creatively, personally, professionally — and forced some honesty about what ...
Flora & James – Hybrid Coverage Santorini
Imagine reliving your wedding day with a complete gallery of photos and a highlight film. As a top UK hybrid photographer for 6 years, I can deliver exactly that. I use the best of both formats and the latest Sony cameras to document your wedding. Giving a consistent aesthetic, and giving you more space and freedom to enjoy your day!

Hybrid coverage is added onto your photographic coverage to enhance your experience of your wedding. If you’re not so keen on having a dedicated videographer, but you’d like to see your best moments in video; hybrid photography coverage is for you.
The highlights film is a curated narrative built from clips captured throughout your day. I work in both formats simultaneously, focusing on moments with genuine emotion and energy—speeches, dancing, key connections with people, first look etc. This keeps your film engaging and re-watchable, rather than a chronological documentation of every moment.
What this means: ceremonial moments like cake cutting or registry signings typically don’t often feature unless they captured real energy. The photo gallery preserves everything from your day; the film tells your story.
If there’s something specific you’d like prioritised in the film, we discuss that before your wedding so there’s no surprises on delivery.
Including vocal recordings of vows and speeches can elevate films. If you prefer not to hear your own voice played back to you, there are plenty of licensed music tracks to use. A fitting licensed song can complement the vibe of your moments and still have a superb impact.
One real memory I have of my grandparents’ voices is of only a few tiny sound bites. After 14 years apart, what I have almost forgotten is their voices. I’ve forgotten how they spoke, their accent, and even their laugh. I wish I could have that back.
We owe it to our family and future generations to capture our voice. Your hybrid coverage should encapsulate you on one of the happiest days of your life. Recorded are your shared first meeting memories, a love poem, and your vows, made in front of others. A priceless part of you will be in your highlights film. It will perfectly complement the still moments of your photo gallery.
Hybrid Coverage 5* Review – Sarah & Craig
I capture both with lots of skill, patience, good communication and magic! In all seriousness, I’ve been perfecting hybrid photography coverage for 6 years and it’s become second nature to me to be able to capture both formats of video and photo coverage of your day equally and balanced. You can read a little more about me if you wish on my about me page.
I assess, curate and perfect each of your photos and clips and arrange the highlights film as the day played out. It is then delivered together in your online gallery. One place to access all of your visual creative part of your wedding. You’re able to download, share and save any time you’d like! A simple way to view everything all at once.
Of course, it’s an important aspect! A big benefit of hybrid photography coverage over a dedicated videographer is the cost which is often double and rightly so, they can offer more!
To add hybrid coverage into your overall package it costs £900 alongside your selected photo package. You can add this up to 1 month ahead of your wedding if you wish, just let me know and I can add it to your account.
The most obvious difference is there are less people in your space throughout your day, and the cost, of course. A dedicated associate videographer will be able to setup multi-camera angles have a wider range of audio capabilities and give a different view of your wedding to your wedding photographer.
As a side note from me, something that is often undervalued; Time and space during your preparations, particularly, is vital; You’re nervous, you’re anticipating your day, potential hiccups and joyous moments. With the lack of space and the presence of a mini production crew surrounding you; It WILL feel overwhelming. It can ruin your experience of your carefully thought-out wedding day.
With the advent of iPhones, social media and ‘trends’, now more than ever, theres a wave of content wanting to be documented by multiple suppliers. Let your wedding day be about you and your partner, not about a silly trend that will last 30 seconds and be locked on a social media platform. PS. You can ask for suppliers to not capture content, except for your photographer / videographer of course, it’s your day!
I work with two cameras; one optimised for the general use for photos & video clips, one for back-up; I then switch between them throughout the day where needed, much like switching between different lenses. It’s a workflow I’ve refined over 7+ years of hybrid coverage. The benefit for you is one calm, familiar presence on your day instead of a whole crew. Less intrusion, more natural moments.
The film is built around emotional peaks and narrative moments such as speeches, dancing, first looks, key moments with people etc. Ceremonial moments like cake cutting and registry signing aren’t usually included unless they capture genuine emotion or energy. This keeps the film moving and engaging to rewatch, rather than including every moment chronologically. If there’s something specific you’d like prioritised, we discuss that clearly before your wedding day.
My grandparents were very special to me, and like others to have more than photographs of loved ones is priceless; I have very little of their voices and of which I do have, I treasure. That’s why audio will be recorded of your ceremony and speeches to include ‘highlights’ of these within your film. My belief is that it enhances your film not for now, but for future years to come.
As a professional, I only use the latest and best quality equipment is all I use from the camera and lenses right down to foot wear (non-squeaky of course). I simplify how I document your wedding; You won’t notice anything more than me and a professional camera! I don’t wave iPhones in your face for social media or get you to repeat moments unprofessionally. I document your wedding live as it happens with my equipment ready and that doesn’t include distracting tripods. Discreet and minimal so that I kinda feel more like a guest than a tv show crew.

The trade-off is simple: hybrid is one person, one calm presence, lower cost. Dedicated is more comprehensive coverage, multiple angles, dedicated audio setup—and double the price. Both sit alongside your photography package.
As a photographer first, you will receive a full coverage gallery of at least 600+ images for a 10 hour wedding day. You will ALSO receive a highlights film of clips captured throughout your day which I edit into a fun 4-6 minutes film set to music for you to watch and share right next to your photos within your interactive gallery. You can also download both directly via your gallery too!
You’ll receive your photo & film within 6 weeks after your wedding. No need to wait months for your film.
Of course, There is somewhat of a limit as to where I travel to, generally one hour North or South of the M4 in any direction is ideal; Beyond that a travel fee maybe needed which will be clearly noted. If you want coverage in Birmingham or Cornwall, it’s a bit too far for me unless you’re happy to accommodate me overnight in a local airbnb. But Cotswolds, South & West Wales, Oxford, Surrey and Dorset are all great!
