YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Calm. Present. Emotionally invested.

Lewis Fackrell is a documentary wedding photographer and filmmaker based in South Wales, working with couples at some of the UK’s most beautiful venues. His approach is unhurried and observational — built around trust, stillness, and a genuine connection with the people he photographs.

He is not a photographer who directs and poses. He watches, waits, and works with the light — creating images that feel like memories rather than records. Couples consistently say they forgot he was there, and yet somehow, every moment was captured.

Twice-winner at The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) as Wales photographer of the year  — a recognition voted for by couples and highly respected judges themselves.

THE EXPERIENCE

It’s not just the images — it’s how the whole day feels

From the moment you get in touch, working with Lewis is calm, easy, and personal. There are no unnecessary emails, no questionnaire fatigue, and no sense of a transaction. Just a conversation about your day, your people, and what matters most to you.

On the day itself, he arrives quietly, settles in, and works in the background — so your guests barely notice a photographer is present. What you receive afterwards is not just a gallery of images, but a complete visual document of your day as it truly was.

Hybrid Film Add-On

Add cinematic wedding film to your package — shot and edited by Lewis in the same documentary style as your photography.

“Lewis made us feel so comfortable from the very first conversation. On the day, he was calm, unobtrusive, and somehow captured moments we didn’t even know were happening. The photos are extraordinary.”

PHOTO + FILM

Why hire two when one person can do both — thoughtfully?

Lewis offers hybrid photo and film coverage as a single photographer-filmmaker. This means less intrusion on your day, no awkward coordination between two separate creatives, and a consistent visual language across both your images and your film.

The film is edited in the same documentary style as the photography — honest, cinematic, and true to how the day felt. No sweeping slow-motion drone shots or overly produced soundscapes. Just your day, as it happened.

Yes. Travel is included for most of the UK. I photograph weddings regularly across South Wales, the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, London, and beyond. For destination weddings in Europe, a small travel supplement applies.

Yes. I offer hybrid photo and film coverage as a single photographer-filmmaker. You get documentary photography and cinematic film from one person — less intrusion, less coordination, more natural moments throughout the day.

My approach is documentary-led, calm, and observational. I focus on real moments and genuine emotion rather than staged setups. I work with the existing light and surroundings rather than against them.

I would recommend securing your photographer 12–18 months ahead, especially for summer Saturdays. You can check your date instantly below.

You will receive a personal response from me — not an automated email. I will confirm availability, share my pricing guide, and suggest a relaxed conversation about your day, your people, and what matters most to you both.
