Canada Lodge Winter Wedding | Stephanie & Max | South Wales wedding photographer
Steph and Max got married in February at the awesome Canada Lodge & Lake near Cardiff. As a winter wedding the weather wasn’t on our side but the couple remained positive throughout their wedding day. I joined Max at his parents home in Roath where the grooms men, his parents and some of the family were getting ready. The Grooms were pinning their rose and thissle boutonnière to their lapels, joking and laughing all morning, the vibe was chilled and relaxed which is always a good sign. Their house filled with character from years of traveling and lots of family history hung proud on the walls.
” Lewis went above an beyond for us on our special day I really cant thank him enough for all he did… Highly recommned Lewis to all my friends and family, it was a smooth and memorable experience. Lewis made us feel so relaxed and enjoyed our day without feeling intrusive. “
I then joined Steph and her bridesmaids at her parents home at Penarth where Steph grew up. Showing me her hang-outs as a youth on their pre-wedding photoshoot in Penarth. Steph was almost ready as I arrived, getting ready a little earlier than expected, It gave me a chance to really appreciate the moment that the bride has with her bridesmaids ahead of the most important day of her life.
Arriving at the venue, Steph was very emotional, the excitement and the nerves worn proudly. Upon entry Max’s mum played The Ice Dance from the film Edward Scissorhands on the violin woven with a ‘something blue’ bow. If you haven’t heard the piece already, I urge you to, it’s incredibly moving. The rest of their wedding was filled with love and happiness, it’s always fantastic capturing these moments as you’ll never know when everyone will be all together once again. ps the weather finally improved! Yay!
